 Day 5 Sept 13, 2020

We went thru Brooks and then took several different roads to get us to John & Cindy's ranch at Consort, AB (Cross Bar Ranch) over a 100 year ranch. Lots of history there. John took us for a trail ride in the pickup truck to see the buffalo, etc

                                            Mike & Molly

Had supper with all the family then played cribbage till bed time.

Day 6 Sept 14, 2020

After a huge breakfast we headed NW towards Castor.  Went to Gooseberry Lake (soda lake) as I had not been there since the 80's when the UMCI had a campout there and a skunk walked thru the campsite while we were all around the camp fire.  No smelly LOL

We toured thru Coronation as I had never been there before.

Afterwards we headed to Castor to have lunch with Jim & Julie before heading for home. Home about 4:340 PM

Since the Covid was in effect we were not able to head south this summer so this was our second few days of holidays.  Hopefully next year we will all be back to normal.

We put on 1050 KM (650 miles) Weather started out perfect and then deteriorated on  the weekend.

Glad we were in the car.

 Day 1 Sept 9, 2020

We started our day off by meeting up with Bruce, Cindy, Louis & Nita at Sherry's in Lacombe for lunch.  Had a good visit.  Then Gerry & I headed for Red Deer to pickup some wire, etc.  Went to Walmart and no we did not wear a mask to get in.  It is against my civil rights.  Afterwards we headed for a ride and stopped at the Markerville Museum for some pictures.

Day 2 Sept 10, 2020

It was a super nice day so we headed for Cochrane to see Peter & Nellie for a good two hour visit.  Then we kind of took the back way back to Lacombe for bike nite.

Day 3 Sept 11, 2020

On our way to Lethbridge we stopped at Marg's place in Kirkcaldy for an awesome lunch of grilled ham & cheese sandwiches.  Great visit.

Headed to Lethbridge and stopped at Humpty's for a ice cream float & to visit with Bob & Cathy. Afterwards we headed for Jim & Patty's house for a couple of nights.  We then went to the casino for supper with them & Jim & Judy Chow.

On Saturday morning Jim, Patty, Gerry & I met up with Harvey & Gloria for breakfast.

Back to the King's to get ready to go to Don Norrie's memorial that was held down at Popson Park.

The weather was so unsettled for us to be on the bike that far from home, this time of the year.

Later we were back to the casino for supper with Jim, Judy, Patty & Jim.

Day 4 Sept. 13, 2020

We met up with the UMCI group (9) for breakfast at Smitty's before we headed north east.
