Sept. 9
After breakfast back in Nakusp we headed for the Balfor Ferry and along the way we came upon an old silver mining town called Sandon. The whole town is a museum so we got some pictures there as well. Then it was off to Creston where we stopped at the DQ for a small lunch. Stopped for the night in Blairmore. Went for Chinese for supper.

Sept 8
After breakfast at Husky House we went up the hill to the gondola and took the ride up so that we could get onto the Pipe ride and come down the hill screaming. LOL Gerry really liked it, but I was a wee bit scared. I kept saying whoo baby all the way down the hill and was on the brake pretty much all the way down. Gerry was at the bottom waiting for me to come in and he said that it took me forever to show up.
After we got our pictures of the event we headed for Revelstoke National Park. After we got parked we happen to get a ride with a park person to where the bus to go up to the Fire Lookout Tower was and we came across a young grizzly. Watched him for a while as the park ranger was telling people to get back in their vehicles and get out of sight.
It was a fairly steep climb up, but I made it with my knee not hurting too awfully much.
On our way back we decided to go up to the Revelstoke Dam (was closed) but we got to get a lot of pictures at the Logging Museum. Got some good pictures of the dam
(Pictures to come after we get home).
We decided to turn south and cross the Galena Ferry and head for Nakusp. No room available in town but the gal at the last motel hooked us up with a log cabin about 3 miles south of town at O'Brians on the Lake. Very nice cabin.

Sept 6
We left home at 10 AM and headed towards Jasper. Stopped for lunch in Hinton at the Esso Truck Stop. Next stop was Miette Hot Springs for a soak in the hot springs. After an hour soak we were limp. LOL Proceeded to the town of Jasper where there were several high priced but we got a fairly cheap one for just under $300.00 taxes in. Got settled in then since we are in the upper class we took a cab to down town and went to several of the shops till we found an ice cream shop. Delicious!
Tomorrow we are going to take the sky tram see how scared I (Anne) can get. LOL
Sept 7
Today started off with a smorg breakfast at the restaurant located in the parking lot of the motel we were at last nite. Went to leave and no car keys. Gerry some how has either lost them or misplaced them. Good thing that he had me bring my set or we would be bussing it home. LOL
Up to the parking lot for the Tram. Got an awesome ride to the top and got lots of pictures (if only we could get them to up load onto the computer) and spent about 40 minutes at the top. Awesome ride going back down then it was off down highway 93 towards Columbia Ice Fields.
Got tickets to go on the bus to the glass walk about. $70.00 later we were walking on the glass floor. No problems at all. Awesome view. If we would have been able to get tickets for the Ice Field tour we would still be there till after dark. That is how far backed up they are, so we decided to header south to the Trans Canada Highway and went west to Golden. At the Rondo Motel then we went to the Husky House for supper.
